They had a chance to hire LeVar Burton, the beloved host of Reading Rainbow, also starring as Kunta Kinte in Roots, and Commander Forge in Star Trek: The Next Generation. The internet tried their best to get Burton as host, and unfortunately it seems Jeopardy! is going in a different direction. That direction could be putting the show in jeopardy.

Executives are often called out for their excessive need to abuse their power dynamic. How many executives have either exploited workers, assaulted them, or used their power to their advantage? Just this week, there is yet another executive sexual assault and discrimination suit against Blizzard.

It’s no coincidence, Hollywood has an executive problem. America has an executive problem and America has a power dynamic problem. People rise to these positions of power and think they can abuse, exploit and in some cases even endanger workers. It turns out, Jeopardy!’s own potential executive producer hire is in the news for discrimination.

Was it all just a marketing ploy? What was the point of all the guest hosts, just to hire an executive producer with another power dynamic problem? It’s a shame LeVar Burton isn’t getting to host this show because of this.
