Album of the Year 2021: Little Simz - Sometimes I Might Be Introvert

Sometimes I Might Be Introvert is the Bulletproof Soul 2021 “Album of the Year”. The Little Simz masterpiece places number 164 on our "Top Albums” list. In a dwindling field of introspective and innovative Hip-Hop, Little Simz rose to the occasion this year.

For perspective on just how magnificent this album is, there are only four other albums since 2015 on our list. Those albums include To Pimp a Butterfly (2015), Kamasi Washington’s The Epic (2015), David Bowie’s Blackstar (2016), and Lupe Fiasco’s Drogas Wave (2018). The list will be expanded upon over time.

From tracks like “Little Q, Pt. 2” to “Woman”, the album is exemplary in using a variety of instrumentalism while conveying harrowing lyrical concepts. It’s a beautifully orchestrated album. It is the fourth album from Little Simz and if we’re to bet, there will be more classics to come from Little Simz.
